This research and development group is devoted to solve efficiency and scalability problems arising in large scale interactive applications. Issues such as parallel and distributed algorithms applied to indexing and search along with processing strategies devised to reduce energy consumption are in the expertise areas of its members. The group also aims at applied research by focussing on specific applications of parallel and distributed computing.
