RESPOND: REsearch in Scalable and Parallel ONline Distributed systems

RESPOND is a research and development group of the Informatics Engineering Department of University of Santiago de Chile. This  group is devoted to solve efficiency and scalability problems arising in large scale interactive applications. Issues such as parallel and distributed algorithms applied to indexing and search along with processing strategies devised to reduce energy consumption are in the expertise areas of its members. The group also aims at applied research by focussing on specific applications of parallel and distributed computing.
